A Short Brain Games Routine for Your Break

Build a relaxed mix of chess, memory and logic games without treating game scores as an IQ test.

Choose a small goal

Start with one activity you enjoy rather than trying to complete every game. A one-minute math round, a few memory attempts or one sliding puzzle can fit a short break. A full chess game can take longer, so choose it when you have enough time to finish without rushing.

Rotate the type of challenge

Try a pattern game on one break and a planning game on another. Color Memory emphasizes following an ordered visual sequence. Sliding Puzzle asks you to plan moves around an empty square. Chess asks you to consider what an opponent can do in reply. These descriptions explain the activities rather than promising broad cognitive benefits.

Read the six ratings

The dashboard groups results into Strategic thinking, Memory, Mental arithmetic, Logical thinking, Problem solving and Response speed. Memory combines two games. Each category uses a different scoring formula, so a seventy in chess is not equivalent to a seventy in reaction time. Open How this rating works for the current game’s formula.

Keep results in perspective

Scores are stored in the current browser when local storage is available. Clearing browser data or changing devices may remove or separate your history. Reset performance history clears all recorded ratings on that browser. Use the numbers as personal game feedback and stop if score chasing makes the break less enjoyable.
