Reaction Time Game: Tap When Green Appears

Try the browser reaction game and understand early taps, averages and device timing limits.

Wait for the signal

Tap the test area to begin. The board asks you to wait, then changes to green after a variable delay. Tap when you see green. Your result is the elapsed time in milliseconds after the green signal. You can also focus the test area and use Enter or Space if you prefer a keyboard.

Avoid guessing the delay

Tapping before the signal produces a Too soon message. Wait for the test to reset before beginning again. Trying to predict the delay makes results less useful for comparing your own rounds. Keep your hand in a comfortable position and respond to the actual visual change.

Understand the numbers

Last shows your latest valid attempt, Best shows your fastest valid attempt in the current session and Average combines the valid attempts. The dashboard also records early taps as zero points. Its rating calculation limits results to a zero-to-one-hundred scale; that scale is specific to this game.

Why devices matter

Screen refresh rate, touch sampling, browser work and input hardware can all affect the measured interval. Do not treat a result from one phone as directly equivalent to a result from another device. This game is for entertainment and informal comparison of your own sessions, not a diagnostic reaction-time measurement.
